Supplying only the best clothes moth control products!
Until December 2012, the full Pest Expert Range of Clothes Moth Control products were only used and available within the professional sector. We are pleased to announce that we are now able to supply this range for amateur use. As we pride ourselves on only selling the best available carpet moth control products, we will now only be stocking these together with the Rentokil brand.
What are Clothes Moths?
Clothes Moths / Clothing Moths (also refered to as webbing clothes moths) are probably the most troublesome moth found in the UK, with clothes moth infestations becoming increasingly widespread. The presence of clothes moths in wardrobes is usually first detected by finding holes in your clothes, as the moths themselves are seldom seen. Clothes Moths live on something called 'keratin', a substance found in natural fibres such as wool, cashmere, silk, viscose, furs etc. As a result, it is unfortunately often your favourite and more expensive clothes that are targeted by clothes moths.
The damage to clothes is actually caused by the moth larvae rather then the adult clothes moth, which is why people often say that they haven't seen any actual moths. To reach full development, the clothes moth goes through four life stages in its life cycle: egg, larva, pupa and adult. It is the larvae eating the fibres that leaves holes in clothes.
Which Moth Killer products should I buy?
At mothkiller.co.uk we have carefully selected a range of the best moth killer products. Our Clothes Moth Control Kits are usually the best option as they offer better value for money and come complete with detailed professional advice sheets to enable you to carry out a successful moth treatment. Alternatively, at mothkiller.co.uk we also provide a full range of top quality moth control products including Pest Expert Formula 'C' Moth Killer Spray' and Formula 'P' Foggers, as well as alternative organic moth control products such as OA2Ki Moth Spray. All the moth products below have a detailed description to help you choose the ones that are right for your particular moth problem.
What about Clothes Moth Traps or Moth Pheromone Traps?
Demi-Diamond Moth Pheromone Traps are a useful method of detecting moth activity; and serve their purpose in this way. However, they will not control a moth infestation or kill the destructive stage of the clothes moth - the larvae - and therefore they are best used in conjunction with other moth killer products.
What about Moth Repellers or Moth Repellents?
Again, moth repellers or moth repellents will only repel - they will not control an infestation nor will they kill moth larvae and so likewise cannot be classed as a moth killer product. If you do not currently have a clothes moth problem but want to maintain control and ensure your wardrobes remain clothes moth free, the Rentokil Moth Killer Hanging Units and Rentokil Moth Killer Strips listed below remain effective for up to 6 months. Unlike many of the strong, often unpleasant smelling repellers (like moth balls), these moth killing products are both odourless and non-staining. In addition, we sell lavender-scented Moth Proof Garment Bags which are impregnated with moth killing insecticide and ideal for protecting your favourite items.
Please see below for our full range of the best clothes moth killer products, including clothes moth killer sprays, clothes moth killing powder, clothes moth repellers, clothes moth traps and clothes moth repellents, together with our natural range of organic moth control products all produced specifically for the treatment of clothes moths.
